Questions to ask about tenure before you go further

Listings describe tenure in a phrase. Your adviser will need much more than that. A starting list.

Ruvana shows tenure as the listing agent describes it. That description is a starting point, not a verification, and the rules that apply depend on your own circumstances.

Questions worth bringing to a professional

  • Who holds the current title, and how was that confirmed?
  • If a lease is involved, how long remains and what are the extension terms?
  • What is the permitted land use, and does it match what you plan to do?
  • Are the building permits in place for what actually stands on the land?

Who to involve

A qualified local notary or property lawyer can review documents directly. Treat every summary, including ones you read here, as a prompt for that conversation.
